Fireworks Prohibited in Blue Mountain Lake

Attention all Blue Mountain Lake Residents – FIREWORKS ARE PROHIBITED IN BML!

Pennsylvania House Bill 542, relating to fireworks, that was signed into law on October 30, 2017 states that fireworks cannot be ignited or discharged on public or private property without express permission of the property owner. This means that fireworks are not permitted in Blue Mountain Lake as our Rules and Regulations clearly state fireworks are prohibited.   Use of fireworks will result in a citation being issued and a $300.00 fine assessed to your account.

In addition to the Blue Mountain Lake Club Rules and Regulations, the law states that fireworks:

  1. Cannot be discharged from or within a motor vehicle or building;
  2. Cannot be discharged toward a motor vehicle or building;
  3. Cannot be discharged within 150 feet of an occupied structure;
  4. Cannot be discharged while the person is under the influence of alcohol, a controlled substance, or another drug.
